Jeff Staple has done it again and dropped an incredibly fresh collection of threads for SS10. In a saturated apparel market where the large manufacturers (bar a few) are not taking any risks and everything is plaid or black it’s exciting to see a collection
that seems to have been put together by someone looking from the outside in.
The clean silhouettes deceive the micro details that have been caringly, and not sparingly for that matter added. Add to the equation that most of the range is manufactured where a lot of the styles seem to be inspired from; Japan you’re getting a whole lot of quality for your buck. Refreshing and contrary to what is going on elsewhere in the mid price fashion world.
The collection arrives in 2 Deliveries the first of which is released today, most of which can be seen here . Lookbook of Delivery 2 is here.
….And take note that it’s shot in New York and there isn’t a soul in the stills except the model. An analogy perhaps?
