“Holidays are coming, holidays are coming….”

Yes it is definitely that time of year, and for a change I’m actually excited about Christmas, or what we’re calling Xmaukka, as we’re celebrating Christmas and Hanukkah’s. I think something that isn’t helping with all the excitement is the fact that I’m getting constantly bombarded with Christmas catalogues from places like Hotel Chocolate, (super yummy, super expensive choccies) and John Lewis, the most comforting store in Britain, it is the equivalent of a babies comforter blanket, and they sell food.

My next excitement is all the things I need and want. Why is it when you have no money you want heaps of things or run out of the crucial daily essentials?

This has happened to me. My moleskine looks dog earred and sad, my hair products need updating…..it goes on and now I realise this is getting a bit too much like a rant rather than something people may want to read.

However apart from wanting things I actually need, I do now want things I don’t need. And it seems as though the large luxury houses are putting out a good Christmas/Hanukkah’s effort….see below
