So I guess I should properly introduce myself, as I have been rather rude, up until now. My name is Sophie the sack maker. The name comes from the fact I am an accessories designer, mixed with my Grandpa’s surname Sachs (as it links nicely but also he was an accessories maker and designer, so it’s all linked up nicely)
Anyway on Mimosopop I hope to share things I’ve found and things I’m up to. An example of that is tonight I’m off to a charity event for the charity Kids Company in association with Joy Everley fine jewellers, whom I’m currently working for, part time.
Anyways this post isn’t about me, well not totally. Like in the O.C. my family are having a mash up (Glee ref.) of Chanukah and Christmas. As we haven’t had a Chanukah in years currently I’m on the search for a Menorah. So far I found one I love from this amazing home-wares store I love AREAWARE, http://areaware.com/
The second option is another interesting designer Richard Meier. I found his on Selectism, it’s very city inspired which is great for my family and I as we are city folk. http://www.selectism.com/news/2010/11/11/hanukkah-menorah-by-richard-meier/#more-53783 Check it>>>>
Anyways, the search is on, it will probably be the way that I magically find one at the last minute or get one from a charity shop, but it’s fun researching.
Adure for now.x
